Carelink.vet — Terms and Conditions

1. Overview

Carelink.vet is a platform developed by Dr. Vetamin Primary, Referral & Emergency Veterinary Hospital to help participating veterinary clinics design, manage, and implement their own custom wellness plans for their clients.
By using Carelink.vet, you (“the Participant” or “the Clinic”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions, which govern your access to and use of this service.

2. Purpose of the Platform

Carelink.vet provides a framework for clinics to:

• Configure wellness plan tiers, pricing, and coverage parameters.

• Enroll clients and manage recurring payments through an integrated payment processor (Stripe).

• Offer participating clients access to exclusive benefits such as emergency care discounts and advanced diagnostic discounts at Dr. Vetamin.

Carelink.vet does not act as a financial institution or insurer and does not control the fees or policies of any participating clinics beyond the parameters agreed upon in this platform.

3. Use of Stripe

Carelink.vet uses Stripe as its exclusive payment processing platform for subscription management and payment collection.

By using Carelink.vet, you agree to:

• Create and maintain your own individual Stripe account, which remains directly linked to your clinic’s bank account.

• Be subject to Stripe’s standard processing fees (currently 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, subject to change).

• Authorize Stripe to automatically deduct its fees from transactions processed through your account.

• Acknowledge that these fees are charged by Stripe, not Carelink.vet.

Carelink.vet does not retain, process, or have access to your banking credentials.

4. Discounts and Benefits

Enrolled clients under Carelink wellness plans are eligible for discounts on select services at Dr. Vetamin Primary, Referral & Emergency Veterinary Hospital, including:

• Emergency care

• Advanced diagnostics (ultrasound, echocardiography, endoscopy)

• Hospitalization services

The scope and level of discounts depend on the plan tier selected by your clinic and configured through Carelink.vet.
These discounts are provided solely for the benefit of enrolled clients and cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred.

Dr. Vetamin reserves the right to modify discount levels periodically to ensure alignment with operational costs, regulatory standards, and service updates.
Participants will be notified of any such changes in advance.

5. Compliance with CVO Steering Regulations

Carelink.vet has consulted with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO) to ensure that participation in this program complies with the CVO’s rules on steering.
There are:

• No monetary incentives, referral fees, or commissions associated with the use of Carelink.vet or referrals to Dr. Vetamin.

• No obligation for participating clinics to refer clients to Dr. Vetamin for emergency or diagnostic care.

All participants remain independent entities, and patient referrals should always be made in the best interest of the animal.

6. Data Privacy and Confidentiality

Carelink.vet collects only the minimum information required to operate your account and wellness plans.
Data shared through the platform is stored securely and used exclusively for administrative and billing purposes.

Carelink.vet complies with Canadian privacy regulations, and client or clinic data will never be sold or shared with third parties without explicit consent, except as required by law or to facilitate payment processing via Stripe.

7. Platform Use and Liability

While Carelink.vet strives to provide uninterrupted and accurate service, it does not guarantee error-free operation or continuous availability.
The Participant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their wellness plan details, client enrollments, and pricing.

Carelink.vet, its developers, and associated entities assume no liability for financial losses, payment errors, or disputes arising between the Participant and their clients.

8. Amendments

Carelink.vet reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions as necessary to reflect regulatory, operational, or technical changes.
Participants will be notified of any updates via email or through the platform.
Continued use of Carelink.vet constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.
